One of our highest priorities at Lowther Hall is to provide a safe place for girls to learn. As it sets out in our Values Statement, “we value respectful relationships” and expect all members of the community to interact in positive and supportive ways. Our pastoral care processes and well-being programs help girls to build the interpersonal and intrapersonal skills needed to navigate different social situations and personalities and our policies and procedures put clear guidelines in place for behaviour as well as setting out consequences for when expectations are not met.
We have recently reviewed our Bullying Intervention and Prevention Policy, a key Policy which sits alongside our Acceptable Use of ICT Policy and our Discipline Policy to promote a positive environment at Lowther Hall. A copy of the updated policy is included with this Bulletin for parents and I invite all parents to read it. Girls across the School will be made familiar with the updated aspects of the Policy in age appropriate ways over the coming weeks.
Thank you to all our families for your support in assisting girls to be respectful in their interactions and for encouraging them to bring matters to our attention if interactions with peers are not going well. This assists us as we pursue our goal of Lowther Hall being a positive and safe place for all girls every day.
