It was wonderful to see all of our girls back at school this week ready for another action packed term. At our whole school assembly on Tuesday we enjoyed one of our most significant school rituals, where each Prep student presented each of our Year 12 girls with a gold rose, and they, in turn, gave her a gift of seeds. In this beautiful ceremony we not only acknowledged the important role the Year 12s have played in our school, but reminded the Prep girls, and all our current students, of the significant responsibility they have to uphold the traditions, values and culture of Lowther Hall.
Preparations are now well underway for the opening of our Annual Art Exhibition on Friday evening. I hope to see many of you there for this impressive showcase of work from girls right through the school. Also, I am hoping that many families are now getting ready to participate in our special “Walk to School” event next Tuesday, where girls have the opportunity to join the walking school bus from Rose Street and promote the concept of finding healthier and greener ways to get to school. I look forward to sharing the next 9 weeks with girls and families as we enjoy many learning experiences and special events together.Posted on by Elisabeth Rhodes
