I know that everyone who attended the Junior School Music Concert last night will agree that we were treated to some outstanding musical moments! For me a highlight was The Carnival of the Animals not only because I love the music, but because this particular item demonstrated such incredible teamwork between the numerous pianists and the string ensemble – a skill that is not only essential in musical ensembles, but also in many other spheres of life. Well done to all the performers and thank you to each staff member who supported the girls to achieve such a wonderful standard. It of course continues to be a busy time at Lowther Hall, despite the short week, with Senior students starting exams, Year 5 girls presenting speeches for Leadership positions and rehearsals and auditions for Junior and Senior School Productions gaining momentum!
Members of the School community are no doubt aware that, under the direction of experienced designer Jonathan Ward, a committee of dedicated students, Old Grammarians, staff and parents have been working for 24 months to develop a new wardrobe for the 2020 Lowther girl which will be phased in from the beginning of 2018.
We are delighted to invite all members of the Lowther Hall community to the Official Launch of the new Academic Wardrobe.
The launch presentation will include a panel discussion, interviews with the designer, live student modelling of the new wardrobe pieces and the screening of the Academic Wardrobe film. The launch will take place on Wednesday 29 November 2017 in the Joan M Garde Cultural Centre at the following times:
9.15am to 9.45am | 10.00am to 10.30am | 11.00am to 11.30am | 11.45am to 12.15pm | 6.45pm to 7.15pm
