Term 2 is certainly finishing with a great deal of energy! This week we enjoyed the Winter String festival – which provided a wonderful opportunity for string players of all ages across the school to perform, and at lunchtimes we have been serenaded by many Senior School and Junior School girls who learn the piano, in our series of Piano Festival Concerts. It has been lovely to have all of our Senior girls back in the School, after their camps, field trips and examinations, and to hear girls reflecting on their various experiences.
Tomorrow afternoon the girls from Years 3 to 12 will participate in an historic moment at Lowther Hall – the unveiling of the portrait of our immediate past principal, Mrs Carolyn Grantskalns. This special event will give us the opportunity to reflect on the process of making art and we will hear from a number of girls within the School about the art works they have produced this term. It will be a wonderful way to finish Term 2, I’m sure.
I wish every family the very best for the non-instruction period.
