Last night, for example, many of us enjoyed the wonderful music presented by girls in Years 4 to 6 at the Junior School Music Concert. Ringing through the Mansion I can also hear the sounds of choirs preparing for our Carols Service in December and I know that our youngest girls are getting excited about the forthcoming Kinder to Year 3 Christmas Concert.

This week of course, our major community event is the Twilight Festival. I am just so moved by the efforts of so many parents (ably led by Ann Cole) and staff who have come together to bring us this wonderful evening. I have now purchased my wetsuit so I am ready for my stint on the dunking machine at 7.00pm.  I am hoping that many of you will come and have an attempt to dunk me – I don’t want all of this nervous anticipation to have been in vain!  The Lowther Hall cookies (pictured) have come into the School this week, and I am sure they will sell well – you can get yours at the Foundation table in Sampford House at the Festival.  I look forward to seeing you there.  

In the business of the Festival, you may perhaps have overlooked booking your table for the Ladies’ High Tea on Friday 21 November. Tickets are available in the Business Office and will be on sale at the festival. I really enjoy catching up with mums at this event, so I do hope you will be able to come along. Finally, our final coffee, cake and conversation is taking place on Friday 28 November – hopefully a convenient time if you usually come for Together on Friday.  

In all the business it is sometimes easy to feel rushed and stressed, but I have tried to take time this week and reflect on how fortunate we are to be part of such a supportive community. I hope you will enjoy the special end of year events as they unfold and I look forward to sharing them with you.
