It has been delightful to welcome back girls and staff for Term 4 with some warmer weather. The term is off to a busy start and the Visual Arts staff are working hard to prepare for the Revealed Art Exhibition which opens on Friday night. I do hope that all families will make the effort to come and view not only their own daughter’s work, but the fantastic work produced right across the School.
Of course a major focus for the next few weeks across our school, is the end of the Year 12 journey. At our whole school assembly on Tuesday we celebrated the annual ritual in which each Year 12 girl received a yellow rose from a Prep student and, in turn, presented her with seeds, symbolic of the growth that we anticipate for her as she moves through the years at Lowther Hall. We look forward to sharing special “farewell” events with the Year 12 girls and their parents across the next few weeks. A reminder that the next Coffee Cake and Conversation occasion with parents will be held on Friday 16 October in the Drawing Room at 1.50pm.
I also remind parents to continue to observe the correct procedures for use of the “drop off zone” at the front of the School on Leslie Road. As you are aware, use of the back driveway gate is out of bounds for pedestrians, for obvious safety reasons. Please respect other drivers, residents and pedestrians when parking your car in the vicinity of the School. We appreciate your continued support in keeping our community safe.
