Our Service of Lessons and Carols at St Paul’s Cathedral, Thursday 3 December, 7.00pm, is for all students in Years 4 to 11, their families and other members of the Lowther Hall community. An inspiring service of reflection on and celebration of the true meaning of Christmas.
Anglicare Christmas Toy and Food Appeal
As part of our Celebration Day activities, the Senior School Faith and Worship Prefect and the Social Justice Prefect are coordinating the collection of donations of toys and food for Anglicare Victoria. Through research, services and advocacy, Anglicare Victoria helps ensure that children in vulnerable families or out-of-home care will receive a gift this Christmas. Anglicare Victoria provides support to 80,000 children, young people and families every year. For many years Anglicare has been providing toys and food to families experiencing social, economic and financial disadvantage.
The Faith and Worship Prefect and the Social Justice Prefect are encouraging all students to donate toys and food to this worthy cause. Most gifts given so generously are for younger children, please don’t forget to consider gifts for teenagers. Anglicare Victoria have advised that batteries be included with toys that require them, and that toys come new and unwrapped so the Anglicare workers can choose a gift that each child will enjoy.
If you and your daughter wish to participate in this worthy cause, please leave the donations in the collection boxes located in Junior School and Senior School by Friday 27 November or bring them on Celebration Day next Tuesday.
