The Junior and Senior School Captains shared the highlights of their holidays and assisted me to reflect on finding happiness in both the spectacular and the simple experiences that we have. The Senior School girls spent the rest of the day at their House Athletics Carnival where they demonstrated a truly exceptional capacity to sustain their House cheering through the whole event.
Congratulations to all girls who participated – there were some outstanding performances on the track and the field, but perhaps even more impressive were the efforts of girls who find events challenging, but competed none the less with vigour and in good spirit. As always, the leadership of the girls in captain positions was exceptional. Today in both Junior School and Senior School there will be assemblies with an ANZAC Day focus which will give girls an opportunity to reflect on this important event in our calendar.
This term I am looking forward to sharing breakfast with Prep and Year 7 Parents in small groups of 8 to 10, commencing with Prep D and Year 7M. Invitations for these meetings are being mailed each week so please look out for these in your letter box and let us know if you are able to attend. Senior School Learning Conferences are also imminent, and I remind parents to ensure they have secured appointments via the on-line booking system, PTO, accessible via the School website.
I hope that all families have had a restful break and that you will enjoy another long weekend over the next few days.
