If you have walked through the School this week, you may have noticed many of the glass surfaces covered in colourful writing. A closer inspection will have revealed that much of this writing takes the form of mathematics problems which the girls have been encouraged to work through in a space where others can see them.
It was wonderful to see everyone back at school after the break and to share together in a whole School assembly where we enjoyed hearing 2 of the items from the Term 2 Evening of Song again.
Year 11 Visual Communication and Design students have partnered with Year 3 students to develop a series of books inspired by the 'Little Miss' series.
Years 3-12 gathered for a special and historic event at Lowther Hall: The official unveiling of the portrait of former Principal Carolyn Grantskalns, completed by celebrated artist Juan Ford.
Term 2 is certainly finishing with a great deal of energy! This week we enjoyed the Winter String festival – which provided a wonderful opportunity for string players of all ages across the school to perform, and at lunchtimes we have been serenaded by many Senior School and Junior School girls who learn the piano, in our series of Piano Festival Concerts.

Our first Parents and Friends Association Annual General Meeting took place on Tuesday 3 June.
I am delighted that this week we are able to officially launch publicity for the School’s Twilight Festival. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Parents and Friends for all the work that has already been undertaken to plan this wonderful event.
On Sunday 1 June Lowther Hall's Hip Hop team Monster Crew competed in the Dance Star Victorian State Finals.
